Over the past three years, two ground breaking ‘alliance’ contracts have been created for the significant capital and maintenance (engineering) programmes across the Thames Water estate. These multi-year agreements are worth up to £1.5bn per year and effectively insource the capability of some of the world’s leading companies. These programmes were delivered using leading behavioural procurement techniques and directly link the profit of the alliance partners to the overall outcomes of Thames Water.
Currently Jon and Thames Water are taking the same learning and applying this to the IT and Operating Technology area.
Prior to joining Thames Water, Jon managed all the UK supply chain, logistics and third party contracts for BT Openreach and had a successful 20 year career in the construction and support services sector, as the executive operating various business units and taking on national commercial roles for two of the UK’s largest PLCs.
